About Us
Connecting cultures through language and community
At Bahrain Spanish Club, we bring people together from all walks of life who share one passion: learning and practicing Spanish, Arabic, or English in a warm, human centered environment.
Whether you’re just getting started or already speak a little, our club offers a welcoming space where language learning feels natural through real conversations, cultural exchange, and genuine friendships.

Our Story
Where Cultures Meet, and Language Brings Us Together
In 2020, in the heart of Bahrain, a simple idea sparked a vibrant and thoughtful movement. Florencia Santillán a passionate language enthusiast from Argentina envisioned a space where Latin American charm could meet Middle Eastern warmth, united by the power of language and cultural exchange.
What began as casual conversations in cozy cafés soon evolved into something extraordinary. Spanish learners and native speakers gathered not only to practice grammar and vocabulary, but to share stories, ideas, and meaningful connections.
As the community grew, so did its depth. The Bahrain Spanish Club began offering immersive experiences from horseback riding across Bahrain’s landscapes, to kayaking along peaceful waters, to exploring the flavors of Latin cuisine through curated tasting events. Each gathering became a chance to live the language, not just learn it.
Today, the club is a thriving hub of intellectual and cultural exchange. We host monthly meetups across Bahrain, each one designed to spark curiosity, conversation, and connection. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a fluent speaker, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to explore language and culture with you.
At its heart, the Bahrain Spanish Club is more than a language group. It’s a space for discovery, friendship, and belonging.
Bienvenidos. Welcome to our comunidad.

How We Teach
At Bahrain Spanish Club, we believe the best way to learn a language is to live it not just study it.
Our teaching approach is designed to be immersive, meaningful, and fun. Here’s what makes it special:
- Real conversations from day one. We skip the dry drills and dive straight into natural, everyday language you can actually use.
- Storytelling and context based learning. We use stories, visuals, and real life situations to make the language stick no memorizing endless lists.
- Personalized one on one sessions. Whether online or in person, our classes are tailored to your goals, interests, and learning style.
- Experienced, native speaking teachers. Our instructors are passionate about language and culture, and they know how to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and effective.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your Spanish to the next level, we’re here to guide you one real conversation at a time.

Today
Today, Bahrain Spanish Club continues to grow as a hub for language learners, travelers, and culturally curious people. Whether you’re joining a class or attending one of our lively cultural events, you’ll find a welcoming environment where language becomes a bridge not a barrier.
Meet Florencia Santillán
Founder of Bahrain Spanish Club | Language Educator | Cultural Connector
At the heart of Bahrain Spanish Club is Florencia Santillán, a passionate educator from Argentina with a deep love for languages and a powerful story of her own.
Florencia didn’t grow up speaking English, she learned it the hard way. Like many language learners, she spent years memorizing vocabulary lists and grammar rules, only to feel frustrated, stuck, and disconnected from real communication.
Everything changed when she discovered a different path: comprehensible input, learning through stories, conversations, and real life context. It was no longer about memorizing words; it was about truly understanding, engaging, and living the language. That breakthrough didn’t just change how she learned, it changed how she would teach forever.
Driven by this experience, Florencia began creating a new kind of learning environment one that felt natural, human, and joyful. In 2020, she founded the Bahrain Spanish Club with a vision that went beyond language lessons. She wanted to build a community a space where people from different cultures could come together to connect, share stories, and grow together.
What started as friendly coffee shop meetups has grown into a dynamic hub for cultural and language exchange in Bahrain. Today, the club offers:
- One on one Spanish classes, both online and in person
- Cultural immersion experiences that bring the language to life
- Guided tours across Bahrain, blending learning with discovery
- A thriving community of native speakers and learners from around the world
Florencia’s mission is simple: to help people learn Spanish the way she learned English naturally, effectively, and with joy.

Florencia’s Method: A Different Way to Learn
Florencia’s teaching philosophy is rooted in one simple idea: language is meant to be lived, not memorized.
Her approach is built on three core principles that make learning Spanish natural, effective, and enjoyable from day one:

Comprehensible Input + Storytelling

Conversation Comes First
